St. Kitts 3' x 5' Foot Flag
The Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis adopted this flag in 1983. Its design, taken from a winning entry in a local competition, includes the Pan-African colors. This flag features two stars representing the two islands. The white stars also symbolize hope and liberty. Green represents the islands’ fertility and yellow represents year-round sunshine. Black denotes the people’s African heritage and red symbolizes the struggle from slavery to colonialism to independence.
